Session Prices

Electrolysis appointments are charged according to the time worked. Cost will depend on each individual’s amount of hair to be removed. The total cost may often be less than the continuing cost of temporary methods. Our pricing is as follows:

  • 20 Minutes — $38
  • 30 Minutes — $49
  • 60 Minutes — $87

If necessary, sessions less than 20 minutes are available.

How Does Electrolysis Work?

By inserting a very fine, pre-sterilized disposable probe into the hair follicle, a small electric current is applied which destroys the hair root, ending further hair growth in that follicle.

What Does Electrolysis Feel Like?

Electrolysis may be uncomfortable, but it really depends on each individual’s comfort level.

How Long Does it Take?

Permanent hair removal is not achieved in one session. Rather, a number of regular appointments are necessary. The number of visits will vary from person to person, and is determined by such things as the condition of the hair, how much is to be removed, the coarseness of the hair, what temporary removal methods have been used and for how long that method has been used.

What Areas of the Body Can be Treated?

Common areas for electrolysis treatment include the hairline, eyebrows, upper and lower lip, chin, neck, cheeks, breasts, chest, stomach, legs, toes and bikini line. Here we offer treatment to women, men and transgender persons. We also provide removal of hair from tattoos—there has been no damage to the ink and the tattoo’s appearance has been improved by not having hair blocking the image.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Very few side effects are seen. Depending on your skin type, a slight swelling or redness will occur within a few minutes and usually disappears within an hour. Occasionally, slight scabbing may appear 2-4 days after the treatment and will disappear soon after. The application of antibiotic cream will help heal the affected area.

What Causes Unwanted Hair Growth?

Unwanted hair growth can usually be traced to hereditary or glandular disturbance. Puberty, pregnancy, menopause, tweezing and all temporary methods of hair removal can change a light hair to a dark, coarse one.
